I was thinking about getting armpit injections.
As I got older, my body chemistry changed.
I was getting odd little lines in my armpits, which made me feel like I had to hide them all the time. Between the flab on my upper arms, and the smell and wrinkles of my armpit, I felt old and ugly. I called my doctor and told him I had read about armpit injections, and I wanted more information. I was in his office next day, and he was telling me about the armpit injections. He told me the main reason for older women getting armpit injections was for a condition called hyperhidrosis. This was where the glands secreted more moisture. I had been suffering with this since I first started menopause. Not only was I sweating profusely, but it was smelly. I would go into the bathroom at work and wash with special towels I bought at the drugstore. I would then apply more deodorant. He told me the roughness of the skin could be residue from all the deodorant. He suggested I just used the towelettes and forego the deodorant. I wanted the armpit injections to see if that would help with all the sweating. He gave me the number a of a dermatologist in our area. He did botox armpit injections. After just one appointment, I was sweating less and finally feeling like I could wear a sleeveless shirt. I knew some of it was vanity and not being able to admit I was getting older, but I hated being stinky and it had nothing to do with vanity.
