Perhaps I’m just not quite fancy enough.
That very well could be the problem.
But for the life of me, I can’t figure out what’s so bad about getting a glimpse of HVAC equipment from the street. Has something happened that I just didn’t hear about? Is the HVAC cabinet outside our homes now offensive to people? There has to be some sort of reasoning behind the rule that, in our gate community, the heating and cooling equipment simply must not be seen. Again, maybe it’s just me. I’m not really gated community folk to be honest. And I’m on record being against moving into this ritzy planned development. But when I sold our company, there was no way that my wife was moving anywhere else. She’s had her sights set on living here for more than a decade. Moving to this house was a big motivation for my wife when it came to making our company a success. So, I’m certainly not one to crush anyone’s dream much less my best friend and partner. Still, I would have been just as happy expanding the cabin in the woods that we own. It’s pretty rustic but there is a pair of ductless heat pumps for great quality heating and air. Still, it’s been one thing after another with this community. There are so many rules. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised by the warning letter I got when I trimmed the hedge a bit too short. Apparently, there is a rule about screening all heating and cooling equipment from street view. However, it’s funny that I haven’t gotten an answer to why seeing my HVAC unit is so terrible.
