I recently updated my kitchen.
- I had laminate counters & plywood cabinets… The floors vs laminate & peeling up.
The appliances were outdated & aged. I also didn’t like how cramped the space was. I had no countertop around my stove, which is my main work station. I didn’t like that the sink wasn’t centered on the room. The dishwasher was stuffed in a corner. I played around with my kitchen design & figured out how to make it workable. I moved the stove over six inches to the left, then my sink moved over 12 inches & so did my dishwasher; Since the stove hardly moved, none of the electrical work was tough. I just used bendy lines & drilled into the side of a cabinet, but easy fix. The plumbing was a bit more of a challenge, but yes, bendy hoses would have worked with the sink. I was mainly concerned about the dishwasher & messing up my drainage. I am absolutely blissful that I just called in a plumber to do the job. The guy moved over my sink warm & chilly water valves & the plumbing for the dishwasher! He even installed those fixtures for me. It was worth every penny not messing around with stretching from the existing spots, however now everything is done the right & professional way. My kitchen is so much better. My sink is centered on the room & the dishwasher is where it should have been to start with. The best is that I now have two feet of countertop on my right & a big section on my left.
