I sort of suppose about my heat pump as a bear.
This piece of Heating & Air Conditioning device stays basically in hibernation all Winter.
Then, like the bear, it slowly comes to life in the Springtime. In this region, there are mornings even in late March where some cooling comfort from the heat pump might be appropriate. But the heat pump isn’t entirely coming to life quite yet. That’s what’s happening now, but like a bear, the heat pump roars to life with its full energy for the Summer and into early Fall! We are now witnessing the roaring to life of lots of a/c bears around here. I walked to get the mail the other day and I could already hear a chorus of heat pumps singing the cooling song. I dislike to admit it however one of those heat pumps was mine as well. I do my best to limit the amount of a/c in my home. For one, it’s a bit luxurious when you’re living on a slim budget. And the more I lean on the cooling from the heat pump, the more overwhelming the heat feels outside. So I do my best to walk the line between comfort while I sleep and dealing with a higher control component setting during the day. Working from property makes managing the control component setting a lot easier. I’ve tried to program the control component before without much luck. Being property full time working from the central a/c is a large help when it comes to keeping the Heating & Air Conditioning costs lower through the hottest part of our year. I’m sure that when October rolls around, I’ll be pretty over all the heat. But I also know that the heat pump bear will wind down again before going off to hibernate for another Winter.
