In the real estate sector, there is always something for everyone.
I couldn’t agree more. As a real estate agent, I have had my fair share of the less obvious requests that potential clients ask for when looking for a house. It goes without saying that a house on sale should at least meet some minimum requirements that a buyer would want. Lately, my clients have been keen on finishing and electrical wiring, including the cooling and heating network in the house. This week I was showcasing an old townhouse that had to undergo a major renovation. The seller, a grandson to a senior army general, had to do an overhaul of the whole-home air purification. The dated air filter system and costly duct cleaning compromised the air quality of the whole house. Previous tenants couldn’t keep up with the air purification help needed, so once they moved out, the landlord renovated the house and put it up for sale. Converting the traditional HVAC equipment to a smart HVAC system was quite a handful, but the HVAC professional tasked with ensuring the air purification system in place was the best did a good job. The buyer in question was quite particular about the HVAC being in place, so he spent quite some time testing the indoor air quality before committing to the purchase. To convince him further, he brought in an HVAC technician to authenticate the system and check that everything was in order. It later turned out that one of his children had stayed in that particular house, and that was why he was concerned about the air purification setup. All in all, it went well, and I made the sale. As an after-sale service, he got a one year free home service with the purchase.
