Two years ago, I was listening to a sustainability podcast when they mentioned that my friend and I needed to change our ways. Among the many things they mentioned was how there are now more environmentally friendly Heating, Ventilation, and A/C brands. I had never considered a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning unit contributing to sustainability, but the more I listened, the more I realized it had to do with energy use and the amount of carbon released. They recommended that most people start using a ductless heat pump and, if not, install a smart control unit to control the use and ensure they keep up with Heating, Ventilation & A/C service because it makes the Heating, Ventilation & A/C installation toil more efficient, and an efficient unit is great for the environment. I wished they had included a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning professional in their discussion, but it was only a portion of their discussion, and my interest had already been piqued. I needed to learn more about the ductless but high-quality Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system they mentioned. I needed new air filters for my unit and decided to ask the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C provider about heat pumps. I took the first flier I saw when I walked in as a sign that I needed to know more because it reminded me of the questions I planned to ask the Heating, Ventilation & A/C repairman once I arrived. I received my answers and resolved to switch to a more sustainable option in two years, which is set to happen this year. I’ve spoken with more people who have made the switch, and while I can’t find the link to the podcast anymore, they did have an impact on my perception of air conditioning. I am looking forward to receiving more long-term assistance with indoor comfort.
