Adulting has led me to some questionable places.
- That one time, we decided to visit an HVAC product for sale exhibition with my best friend despite having no interest or even money to invest in new heating equipment.
The reason we decided to go is because we were dealing with heater maintenance troubles in our rental apartment and we thought that it would allow us to see the various suggestions to pitch our landlord when he decided to replace the troublesome boiler in our house. We were mostly being petty because everything we saw was expensive but curiosity doesn’t always kill. The most intriguing product was an electric HVAC that the HVAC specialist in charge of that particular exhibition mentioned was great for someone looking into energy saving. You should have seen us write down how a heat pump installation would save our landlord money based on the energy-saving tips the heating technician was sharing. We were two women on an important mission. I loved the wireless thermostat and the HEPA filter and could picture how much our house would change from the two because our filter was not the same quality and we still used the traditional thermostat that was never making much of a difference in the house. If only we could take the electric heat pump home with us but the price was too steep to even dare. But I got curious and asked the HVAC serviceman to share their contact so that our landlord would contact them with ease if we managed to convince him into installing an electric heating system. Our very ambitious plan failed, but the dream remains.
