My aunt’s house when we were young had heated floors, and I loved going over in the winter season because it was always cozy compared to our home where we only had a boiler that didn’t fully heat the house.
When we finally got to building our forever home, I was delighted to realize that my wife was also keen on getting heated floors in the house. Our research led us to a heat pump installation because it would also help with heating our water, hence saving us energy. We had an HVAC specialist from the beginning of the project based on the recommendation of our contractor who had hired him from the HVAC serviceman and HVAC products for sale business in town under a subcontract. We went over several heating equipment units and settled for an efficient electric heating system that would serve the home’s entire heating needs. The heating technician also assured us that our dream of having heated floors would be achievable, at least for one room if not more if the radiant heating they were going to do would allow it. We had an additional worry about energy consumption but we got more than enough energy-saving tips and explanations of how to use the wireless thermostat to regulate consumption. We also loved the HEPA filter too because we wouldn’t have to worry about an air purifier if we ended up installing an electric heat pump. We did get our electric HVAC with the heated floors and even better, it demands less heater maintenance than we are used to, which works for us and our busy work schedule because there’s nothing to forget. For energy consumption, we use all the tips and haven’t had any electric bill troubles.
