A few weeks ago, my hubby informed me about some ice that was building up on the A/C unit.
In my opinion, ice did not sound like a enjoyable thing.
My hubby but, was convinced that the ice buildup was a enjoyable thing. The a/c was supposed to make things cool, so the ice seemed like a enjoyable thing. I didn’t ever remember seeing ice on our a/c before though, so it seemed a bit odd, and although my hubby was convinced it was a sign of something good, I wasn’t so sure. In my opinion, we needed to hire an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional to come look at the a/c. It took a lot of convincing, however my hubby finally agreed to hire an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional. When I told the professional about the ice buildup, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional instantaneously told me that there was a problem, then he spent the next 45 minutes trying to find the issue and when he finally did, it wasn’t good. There was a refrigerant leak that was causing the coils to freeze. The enjoyable news was that we caught the ice buildup early on and there wasn’t too much harm. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional refilled the refrigerant and patched the hole that was causing the leak. He also shut off the a/c so the ice would melt naturally. It was an expensive fix, however I am excited we called. I’m excited I listened to my gut about the ice and didn’t listen to my hubby. He would never divulge that.
