My sister came over to my home last week, and she seemed so miserable, she was shaking.
I sat her down and told her to relax and then explain to me all that had happened.
She told me someone had told her partner that she could do the window updates, and she didn’t need a professional window installer. I knew all about her partner because she and my partner were best friends. It surprised me that Mark hadn’t gone over to help do the window updates. The last time they got together to do a window updatement, Mark nearly lost an eye and had a concussion. The window fell out of the window and landed on her forehead. When the glass broke, it lacerated her eyelid and put a hole in the cornea. It took nearly 1 year to heal well enough that she could see again. She told me she didn’t want Mark trying to do window updates again. I understood her frustration and wondered why someone would tell him that it was okay to do the window updates on her own? Apparently, they didn’t know Al that well. I called downstairs to my office and asked him to come upstairs, and Jen told him about Al installing the window updates and asked if she had asked him for her help. She shook her head and told her said nothing, but she would go over there. Jen must have seen my look, because she promised she wouldn’t attempt to help. Jen was going to stop him before she did disfigurement to himself or destroyed the window update kits she already bought.
