Our candle store burnt down because of a faulty gas heater.
It all began one night when I was in my candle shop making candles. I had had the central air conditioning system running because it usually gets pretty hot in the shop, but on this night I got truly cold, so I went to my smart thermostat & turned off the central air conditioning system & then proceeded to turn on the gas heater. The heating system made some unusual sounds, almost like a small gust of sparks, then kicked on. I figured this wasn’t a substantial concern since gas boilers run on gas which makes a flame. As I continued to labor that night, I started to odor a gas leak from the gas heater. I grew distraught & decided to turn off the gas heating system & to go apartment for the night… Little did I know that there was a gas leak in my gas heater, & it was filling my shop with gas fumes… Unblessedly, I had left a small candle burning, & when the fumes from my gas heating system got near the candle, it burst into sparks & caught stuff on fire! I got a call from the fire department saying that my gas heating system had started a fire in my shop. The next day I called the heating & cooling company & demanded that they pay for the detriment done & to also repair the leak in my gas heater. The heating & cooling company apologized for the leak & sent an Heating & Air Conditioning company to repair the gas heater.
