One day, not too long ago, my spouse told me that in five years, when my friend and I both retire, she wants to move to the mountains as well as live off the grid.
- I honestly did know she was joking however it turned out that she was serious.
My friend and I are both nature lovers, although I don’t know if I could comfortably live off the grid. I’m not too keen about building my own house as well as cooking over a fire as well as I am kind of keen on my central heat as well as a/c. My spouse assures me that I will not be expected to live without heating as well as a/c. Nor was I expected to help build the house as well as I will have a real stove. That’s when I started to wonder if she was planning on taking me with him. That’s when she encouraged me to do a little research on heat pumps, battery power as well as solar power. There is a lot to learn! I admit that I don’t honestly understand much of it, although I didn’t honestly try that hard. I learn enough to know that the power contractor isn’t the only way to get power. As long as I will have my heating as well as a/c I will be glad. And it seems that a heat pump can be run on solar power, as well as there are even solar generators. So, it appears that I will have my heating as well as a/c. It will cost a lot of currency up front however my friend and I will be eliminating an electric bill altogether. Now if I could just figure out how to get the internet out there….
