My mother is getting on in years and both her and I agree that she should no longer live alone.
- It’s not that she is going senile or losing her mobility.
She doesn’t need a nursing dwelling or anything, it’s just that seniors are prone to both falls and victimization. There is safety in numbers, so I was on the hunt for a location for Mom to live. I was looking for a dwelling that rented rooms identifiably to senior citizens. Let me tell you, that was not easy to find. There are senior living centers and assisted living facilities everywhere, however I only found four seniors only boarding houses. My next requirement was a yard or garden mother could kneel and enjoy. Mother has extreme allergies and can’t absolutely comfortably spend much time outdoors, despite the fact that she did relish time she could kneel outside. One of the homes I found for mother had no yard and was scratched off the list. Another requirement was a whole cabin air purification system, or at least air purification systems in all the public rooms. I number one a whole cabin air purification system and considering I was down to three choices, I didn’t want to be too picky. One of the homes that I looked at for mother had no air purification systems at all! That left me two homes to choose from. One I visited was entirely a little frosty. They had the air conditioner turned down low. Although I know that helps prevent the spread of illness, I would hate to put my mother in a location that was cold all the time. That’s why I felt air purification systems were important. I did finally find the perfect location for Mom and it all ended well.
