I work in a medium sized supplier office with about twelve cubicles inhabited mostly by ladies as well as five regular offices inhabited by boys in suits as well as it was almost consistently too cold in the office.
The boys in suits were consistently turning the temperature control down to around 60 or 65 degrees as well as it was way too cold for those of us dressed for the tropical weather in the area where my buddy and I lived as well as worked; We couldn’t honestly say anything because these boys in suits are the bosses and, apparently, their comfort was important too., then most of us ladies kept jackets or shawls at work as well as there were times I truly used disposable hand warmers at work just so I could type! We even looked for a way to partially block the air vents! Inevitably, someone would turn the temperature control back up to a more comfortable temperature, however it wouldn’t stay there.
It would eventually get turned back down to 60 or 65 degrees again. This did a lot of wear as well as tear on the cooling system as well as a few months ago, it had to be updated, but, with the up-to-date cooling system came some relief… Someone ordered a programmable smart temperature control as well as the cooling system stays at 77 degrees during the work day. It can’t be changed by just anybody. I no longer have to use disposable hand warmers to be able to type as well as I no longer need my jacket. Whoever came up with the idea of a programmable smart temperature control has my sincere thanks. Work is a lot more comfortable now.
