It appears as though humidity is one of the greatest pains for any homeowner, but i had to experience this first hand to appreciate the vital job the proper levels of humidity play in ensuring comfort in a home! While my Heating and A/C system was technically the best you will ever find around, it was not really effective in controlling humidity, but the AC ensures my condo is cool enough during boiling summers, whereas the Heating and A/C system’s heating aspect works perfectly during extreme winters, one thing that seems to struggle is the ventilation aspect of the Heating and A/C system.
There consistently seems to be an issue with the humidity levels.
One time it feels too musky and wet that the air is generally uncomfortable, yet another time it feels too dry for comfort. It took calling an Heating and A/C professional to test humidity levels at weird times to note the fluctuations. This process taught me a few things that will consistently be a significant factor to consider. First, I learned not to let the humidity levels get to 60% and above as this would support mold and mildew growth, which I did not want to deal with often, if not ever… My Heating and A/C serviceman was kind enough to teach me how to take the studyings myself since the humidity levels in my section were majorly influenced by natural causes; hence, I needed to keep testing and increasing. I also had to invest in proper heating and ventilation as this helps when humidity levels are too high. On the other hand, when it gets dry, I use my humidifier since I want to protect my furniture and electronics, which are affected the most. I have accepted that having an air quality monitor is pressing for me since this will spare me many Heating and A/C repair costs.
