When she was at work one day I called out the local HVAC company and ask them to replace her Central AC unit that very day
I’m so glad to be back in town. Mostly, I’m happy to have my own autonomy back. I’m happy to be able to jump in my car and go wherever I want. And I’m extremely excited that I can adjust my indoor thermostat to whatever preferences suit me. You see, I just recently spent a week at my mom’s house. For any adult who visits home, it’s quite an ordeal to be back in your family home. It seems like taking a step back into time and losing all sense of responsibility. For me, that includes losing the ability to adjust the indoor air temperature. My mom is a huge stickler about her thermostat. She only runs her heating and cooling systems when the extremes of each seasons set in. She doesn’t want to waste energy and therefore money by powering the entire central heating or cooling system if it’s not ungodly hot or cold outside. When I was visiting, it was 85 Degrees. Apparently, in her world, that isn’t hot enough to justify operating of the indoor AC unit. The entire week while I was there it was uncomfortably hot and humid inside the house. She didn’t want to run the air conditioner and I didn’t want to sit around in insane heat and humidity oh, so I figured there was one solution to the problem. When she was at work one day I called out the local HVAC company and ask them to replace her Central AC unit that very day. When she returned home, we had fresh and cool flowing air from the brand new AC unit. She couldn’t even complain about the change in her indoor temperature settings because I had bought her the most energy-efficient air conditioner on the market.
