I hate when unexpected expenses come up.
Unfortunately, that seems to be a major part of adult living.
Every time it feels like you have your paycheck and budget under control, a new challenge presents itself to shake up your financial stability. As far as I can tell, my financial situation is going to be complicated for many years to come. That’s why I’m doing everything I can to earn extra money through my side job. I work my butt off to make some extra cash each month and supplements my expensive living. I also have been working extremely hard on cutting down my monthly expenses so I can save more. I started with reducing my grocery bills, gas bills, and now I’m working diligently on reducing my energy consumption each month. My energy bill is always one of the most massive money sucks that I encounter. Depending on the weather conditions each month, my energy bill can easily double or triple when the summer sun and humidity sets in. I hate that I have to run my central air conditioner all the time, but I also can’t sleep at night if it’s too hot inside. I started trying to think of new solutions that would cost less energy and money but still allow me to cool my home at night. I realized that I could simply swap out my central AC usage for a simple AC window units placed in my bedroom. I would just have to hang out in my room to enjoy the cool air throughout the day, and then crank the AC system before I wanted to go to bed at night. I’ve been utilizing this rudimentary air conditioning system for a few weeks now, and it seems to be working fine. I’m sleeping at night and my energy pills are steadily decreasing with each passing week.
