My youngsters are legitimately refusing to go into the basement.
This is annoying because that is where I do their laundry & now they won’t even bring their clothes for me to disinfect because of the basement. They don’t want to come down to the basement with me. So what is so terrifying about the basement? Well they’re not cheerful with the current boiler that my hubby & I installed. They say it’s outdated & creepy & makes some erie sounds. It doesn’t help that their father has the same opinion. Even he says the boiler is creepy. Even though it’s a current boiler to us it is an outdated boiler because it is one that my buddy and I purchased used. I’ve been trying to convince the youngsters to go down there however they’re sure that there is a monster that is about to jump out at them from the inside of the boiler. I will be honest when I go down there & I look at the glow of the boiler & the gloomy darkness in the basement it can provide you a little bit of the creeps, but it is not that terrifying, granted my youngsters are only seven & nine so I’m hoping they will outgrow this phase of being afraid of the heating system. I constantly used to care about having them down in the basement with me because I told him stories that were spooky in nature while my buddy and I were down there. They just appreciate terrifying stories however try not to make it too terrifying since they’re pretty young & now I’m blaming myself for unintentionally scaring them & making them afraid of the heating system. The boiler is just a boiler & for what it does it’s an excellent boiler when it comes to heating our home.
