I grew up with hard water.
As a child the hard water was the worst, and my mother constantly complained about cleaning; The water stained the tub, sink, and toilet, but it made everything sort of rusty looking, then she could never have anything white.
The calcium and magnesium build up constantly was messing the aerators in the sink. So those typically had to be removed and act like an open spigot. The shower head was typically clogged and the drains had a lot of soap build up, and not only that, hard water stains your teeth, colors your hair, makes it frizzy, dries out your skin, and isn’t safe to drink. Need I say more? I told myself that I would never end up in a property with hard water, well my dream house is down the street from my parents. I was hoping for neighborhood water but my great friend and I just missed the cut off. So hard water it is. I am not going through the same things my mother is though. I called a local plumber to ask about water softener services. They have water filtration and water softeners that can be installed to repair these problems. They purify the water so that it is safe to clean, cook, and drink. The impurities are removed so there is no more build up of calcium. You get fresh, clean, and safe water instantly. The addition to my property was quite a bit of money and it needs official replaces due to fighting such hard water. I feel it is worth every penny though.
