Living in an upstairs home isn’t exactly what Lisa wanted to have growing up. She is pushing 45 years old and is single but cannot do much when she has neighbors that live below her. If she makes too much noise, steps on the wrong floor boards or invites too many of her friends, they will either call the landlord, beat on the ceiling or call the cops. They are awful and Lisa tries to be nice to them but they just look at her in disgust, like she is not worthy of their presence. It doesn’t matter anyways. The greatest thing about them living below her is that heat rises. The temperature they have their temperature control set at is ideal for her liking. It does not matter if it’s summer time or winter, the air conditioning or the oil furnace settings are perfect. Lisa never turns on her electric furnace so her heating and cooling bills are low all year round. She will never tell them that they are basically paying to keep her warm or cool. So Lisa thinks she has that going for her. She is sure if they ever found out about that they had freak out and demand the landlord to put in extra insulation. Still, it’s hard to get friends to come over. Lisa thought about getting a cat but she figured they would yell every day about that. So most days she is not here unless she is sleeping or doesn’t want to go out and eat. A friend asked her to move in but Lisa still likes her space and privacy. Regardless, she is going to appreciate the heating and cooling that they provide.
