I had to hire a company to do apartment remodel services. It was an enormous expense, however it wasn’t anything the renter had done. It was normal wear plus tear, plus I could not rent it out before we made the repairs. If the renter had deliberately damaged walls, broken doors or windows, I would hold them liable for those repairs, however these were those kinds of renters. They were residing in the apartment until they could afford to buy a home. I now had to find another apartment remodel service that would be ready to labor when we called, plus do the job at a price my landlord would accept, plus it had to be done well.
