My friend Ed has a side task that he does only on the weekends.
Ed buys old furniture from yard sales, plus he fixes them plus then flips them for a profit.
Ed has been doing this for a few years now, plus although it’s honestly lucrative, Ed’s not making enough to quit his day task. I feel if Ed invested all his time into this side task, he could honestly be successful at it. 1 of his favorite things to do is to go to antique stores or local flea markets plus find vintage wooden chairs plus restore them back to new. Ed also does this for wooden tables plus other wooden furniture. I am not a big fan of antique furniture, even though I have purchased a couple of wooden chairs from Ed, plus he made them look like new. I have them in my bedroom plus I get complimented on them all the time! Restoring some of the wooden furniture doesn’t take a whole lot of time as most of them are in good condition. In fact, Ed has purchased wooden chairs from a flea market plus flipped them in one weekend. I am not quite sure why Ed got into this side hustle, however it’s a fine one to have if you have a talent for restoring old and damaged furniture. All you would need is a truck, a shed, plus the tools or materials needed to store the wooden furniture. The overhead cost for this side hustle is honestly low, plus the turnover is pretty fast, if you know what you’re doing… Either way, I hope that Ed continues with his side hustle plus can eventually turn it into a major business.
