It’s all I can do to open the door when there is a delivery during the peak heating hours of the day, however i toil at cabin plus so I’m not about to be going outside after 11 in the morning during the Summer, and that’s just what it’s like where I live! My pal and I are so far south that the heat plus humidity are basically unmanageable separate from the aid of a heat pump. Thankfully, I have great residential HVAC so it’s pleasant inside my home… Of course, I keep the temperature control near or above 70 degrees this time of year, some might suppose that’s too high of a temperature control setting for the Summer, and but when the temperature is almost consistently 95 or above, an 70 degree temperature control setting feels truly comfortable, but and I also make sure that fans are going throughout the day as well. A fan uses less than 1/10th the energy that the heat pump uses. And I’m all about saving on air conditioner costs. Still, I can’t truly imagine just what it must have been like for folks back in the day! Residential HVAC wasn’t available until the 50’s. And the heat pump wasn’t readily available for most almost everyone until even later. I’ve heard stories about the adjustment that came with the Summer around here. It was up at like 3 in the morning to get toil done before the heat plus humidity got intense. And then, it was a breeze or a fan that was the only relief. That plus some shade. While I’m still awfully partial to fans plus shades, I’ll take my central air conditioner as well thank you.
