My plane experienced a 2-hour delay last weekend, holding me up on my travels and already making me quite agitated.
The lobby of the airline was crowded, the food was terrible, the bathrooms were disgusting, and the seats were uncomfortable. The heating in the building also left something to be desired, with that something being actual sizzling air. Their Heating and Air Conditioning either wasn’t particularly effective or wasn’t set to run high enough to matter. Travelling is stressful enough already, thanks to the conditions of the airlines and the fear of delays, layovers, and cancellations, and I was highly agitated by the whole experience, however when the plane I was waiting for finally arrived I was among the last to be boarded because of my ticket number and was localed in the particularly end of the tail section of the plane, but unlike the lobby, the aircraft was rather warm, so I attempted to redirect the vent above me to blow the cool air directly on me, but nothing happened. The slots of the vent were open and yet no air was blowing out, and briefly passing my hand over the vent beside me proved the air was on; I got ahold of a flight attendant to request a seat with a functioning cooling system vent but she couldn’t move. I could clearly see some sections had an open seat in the row but I was not permitted to change seats to have a functioning AC vent. The best they could offer, which reflects rather poorly on them in my opinion, was a miniature cup of ice water. I was left to do my best putting up with everything until I managed to fall asleep. I’ll be looking for a better airline next time because the inconveniences I faced were too silly to let slide.
