Have you ever been scared of hiring an Heating & A/C worker because you are not sure how good they are? Well, this was my dilemma a few years ago when a professional Heating & A/C corporation fell through the ceiling when fixing the attic AC.
I had not done any due diligence before hiring him since I assumed that he was qualified. It turns out that he was an apprentice that was advertising himself as the expert under the master’s credentials. It was a panicky moment for a while after he kneel flat on the floor for a few minutes. I had been laboring outdoors, and the thud brought me back in abruptly to see what had happened. Once I confirmed his safety, I started considering the amount of detriment the fall had caused. It would cost me a few hundred to repair the mess and restore my condo to its original state… Unluckyly, the Heating & A/C worker was not able to compensate for any of the detriment since he was not even licensed to operate. He did not ask for his spend money after the failed repair delivery, but I was left with a immense pile of mess to repair and a few broken seats to replace. While I eventually got the mess fixed and my mum’s Heating & A/C professional to attend to the attic, I have had this phobia ever since. Unless I know you from a referral I trust, I struggle with hiring new Heating & A/C professionals ever since… Maybe someday, I will outgrow the fear and give some genuine workers a chance, as I am sure I have dismissed some pretty good ones.
